The importance of friends

I love this picture because the card sums up how I try and live my life and was a gift from a very dear friend.

It got me thinking about what makes a good friend, just yesterday another close friend told me I was a procrastinator and do you know what, she was right.

So today I thought about what makes a good friend for me and here are my 5 top tips!

1.They are honest with you and are ready to kick your butt when needed.

They stop you from eating that extra chip, and they tell you to just get on with things when you procrastinate.

2.They laugh, live and love with you.

You know the friends that make you laugh so much you cry, the ones that are excited to do anything and the ones you talk to for hours about your relationship, they are keepers!! Keep them close by as they are great in both a crisis and a party. Love them.

3.Time never stops with them.

You never feel bored with them, even if you’re In a room and haven’t spoken for 20minutes you have comfortable relaxed silences until something else hilarious happens and you burst out laughing, again.

4.You don’t always have to explain yourself.

The friends who just ‘get’ you, those who you don’t have to explain every word to and even if they don’t understand what you’re saying they pretend they do. They’re the best.

5.Lastly, you celebrate each other.

You’re genuinely happy for them when they succeed, get that promotion, pay rise, new job, anything else and they also feel the same about you.

What makes a good friend for you? Let me know In the comments section, and today call a friend and let them know how much they mean to you.

Happy Monday!! Xx
